Red Bull: Fixed Gear DIY Competition (2011)

Documentary / Promotional video created by VIS Productions for Red Bull Australia. 4 Designers are given a blank fixed gear bicycle to paint or decorate in their style the winner walking away with a huge array of prizes. This short expores the Fixed Gear Bike scene in Perth, WA and the art / design community.

The Bird in Perth played host to a bike competition like no other, just for the Fixie kids. This was a live art event with a twist. Four design students, hand picked by, Rusty Chain, had two hours to complete their unique designs of plain white Fixie bikes. DJs filled the venue as the 190-strong crowd surrounded the artists who were scattered throughout the venue, battling for not only bragging rights but a brand new bike courtesy of those good folk at Rusty Chain.
