Frenchrockets "1x1" is an amazing clip that radically morphs from tube cameras shooting in an "80's" style into full Hi-Def footage in widescreen.  This film clip is all about effects and transitions, exploring both past and present visual techniques in a phantasmagoria of "in camera" effects and post production CG and FX.
